Gnu Diving - Vlora

The team at Gnu Diving are the kind of people you instantly click with. They operate out of Vlora, a town we’ve spent a fair bit of time in, and they’re PADI 5 Star IDC Resort, which means they’re serious about instruction right up to instructor level. We’ve always found their local knowledge of the Albanian coast to be superb, whether you’re looking for a relaxed reef dive or something a bit more adventurous. Our favourite thing about diving with Gnu is their knack for finding the quiet spots, even in peak season. We've spent mornings with them exploring a small wreck, the ribs of its hull picked out by shafts of sunlight, then drifted along a wall alive with nudibranchs and grumpy scorpionfish in the afternoon. They run efficient trips, usually with two dives in the morning, which leaves your afternoons free to explore Vlora’s promenade or find a good spot for some local seafood. If you’re looking to get your PADI qualifications, or just want to explore a less-dived corner of the Med with a friendly, competent crew, we’d definitely suggest giving them a shout.
