MYRIAM - Vlora
We love a shallow wreck, especially one with a bit of a story, and the Myriam certainly delivers. At just 8 meters deep, this isn't about pushing your limits, it's about soaking in the history and the surprising amount of life that now calls this old fishing boat home. You can spend a good hour here, slowly finning from bow to stern, spotting the details of its working life – the winches, the steering mechanism, even parts of the engine block are still recognisable. The hull is remarkably intact, especially for a wreck that's been down for a while, providing plenty of nooks and crannies for curious eyes. Look closely and you'll spot small scorpionfish camouflaged against the rust, moray eels peeking from dark recesses, and schools of juvenile damselfish darting in and out of the skeletal structure. It’s a photographer’s dream on a sunny day, with shafts of light penetrating the water, illuminating the wreck and its inhabitants. We’d suggest going early in the morning, before any boat traffic stirs up the sediment. It’s perfect for newer divers building confidence, or anyone who just wants a relaxed, interesting dive.
