Relitto Neuralia - Vlora

Relitto Neuralia isn't just a wreck; it's a silent testament to a moment in time, a freighter sunk deliberately in 1970 to create an artificial reef. You'll find it sitting upright, remarkably intact at 31 metres, making it a solid intermediate dive. What we love about this wreck is its accessibility. You can penetrate the holds and superstructure, and there’s still plenty of light filtering down, keeping things comfortable. We always try to dive it in the morning, before the thermocline really sets in and visibility gets a bit murkier. Descending onto the main deck, you’ll see schooling damselfish darting between the rusty railings. Look closely, and you'll spot scorpionfish camouflaged against the encrusted metalwork, while moray eels peek out from shadowy crevices. The stern, with its propeller still largely intact, is our favourite spot for photos, though the bow offers some great swim-throughs into the cargo holds. It’s a great dive for those who enjoy exploring history, not just marine life, and it rarely feels crowded.
