TORRE OVO - Vlora
Torre Ovo isn't one of those big, dramatic wrecks that hits you with scale. Instead, it’s a quietly compelling dive, a fishing vessel that feels like a ghost of Albania’s maritime past. We love how it rests perfectly upright at a comfortable 20 metres, making it incredibly approachable for any diver comfortable with wrecks. The stern is our favourite part, with the propeller still largely intact, a real magnet for schooling damselfish. Head into the wheelhouse and you can still see some of the old controls, eerie and fascinating. Inside the holds, look closely; we've often spotted scorpionfish camouflaged against the rust, or a curious octopus peeking from a dark corner. The deck itself is carpeted in a fine layer of green algae and small anemones, and you’ll see plenty of nudibranchs if you slow down and search. It’s not a huge wreck, so you can take your time, exploring every nook without feeling rushed, making it perfect for photographers or those who just want to absorb the atmosphere.
