Badeplatz - Istria Peninsula

Ibo-ibo Sango is one of those Kerama sites we keep coming back to. Forget drift dives and big pelagics here; this spot is pure coral adoration, a real balm for the soul when you just want to soak in the reef’s quiet beauty. The sheer variety of stony corals is what sets it apart – we're talking big, sprawling brain corals you could get lost in, delicate lettuce corals, and thickets of staghorn that shimmer with iridescent fish. We love finding a comfortable spot and just watching the clownfish dart through their anemones, oblivious to everything. Our favourite time to dive Ibo-ibo Sango is definitely on a sunny afternoon when the light filters down, making the corals glow. It’s a shallow, easy dive, perfect for photographers who want to take their time or for anyone who just wants to decompress from a more strenuous morning. You’ll spend most of your time at around 10-15 metres, giving you plenty of bottom time to appreciate the intricate details of the reef. Don't expect dramatic swim-throughs or huge schools of jacks, but if you appreciate healthy, diverse coral in serene conditions, this is a real winner.
