GILDA - Istria Peninsula
The Gilda wreck, a cargo vessel sunk during WWII, lies upright at 25 metres, offering a straightforward dive for those comfortable with wrecks. Penetration isn't advised due to its deteriorating state, but exploring the deck and superstructure reveals a decent amount of soft coral growth. We often spot conger eels in the darker recesses and various small schooling fish around the cargo holds. It’s a solid dive for wreck enthusiasts looking for an accessible piece of history.
