Hafen Küsnacht - Istria Peninsula

Pinaúnas is a site that just feels right, especially if you’re keen to see how Brazil's reefs really tick. We've always found it a solid dive, particularly for those relaxed afternoons when you just want to drift and observe. The corals here, while not the most vibrant you'll ever see, form some great structures, creating plenty of nooks and crannies. Our favourite moments at Pinaúnas are always about the smaller stuff. Keep your eyes peeled for the Molly Miller blennies darting between the rocks; they’re little characters. You'll also spot Atlantic Bumper and the occasional Tide Pool Wrasse making their rounds. We've had some great encounters with Black Morays poking their heads out, and the Glassy Sweepers often form shimmering schools under ledges. It’s a site where patience pays off, letting you uncover the busy lives of the reef. We'd suggest aiming for a mid-morning dive before any afternoon chop picks up, when the light really helps illuminate the corals. Bring a macro lens if you have one; there’s plenty to fill your frame.
