Haus am See - Istria Peninsula

Alright, Fantasea Diving and Watersports on Bermuda's North Shore. Now, this isn't a boat dive to some deep wreck, let's get that straight. This is shore diving, pure and simple, and we love it for its sheer accessibility and surprising little details. You kick out from the beach, and almost immediately you’re among the seagrass beds. We’ve spent hours here, just finning gently, looking for the small stuff. And it’s the small stuff that makes Fantasea special. We’re talking about those impossibly slender filefish, blending perfectly with the grass, or the little sand gobies darting into their burrows. Keep an eye out for spaghetti eels poking their heads from the sand. On one dive, we even spotted a surprisingly large barracuda, just cruising the shallows, which always gets the heart going a little faster. It’s a fantastic spot for a relaxed second dive, or for photographers who want to spend time with macro subjects without battling a current. If you're staying nearby and fancy a quick dip without the faff of a boat trip, this is our pick. Just be mindful of boat traffic if you venture too far out.
