Hemishofen-Rheinklingen - Istria Peninsula

Récif Tiaré is one of those spots that feels like it’s just for you, even if you’re diving it with a handful of others. We love the way the reef here just spills over with colour, especially the Acropora corals. You’ll spot the Acropora Coral Crabs, tiny little residents, often camouflaged perfectly amongst the branches. What makes Récif Tiaré a standout for us is the variety in such a compact space. We’ve drifted past massive schools of fusiliers here, so dense they momentarily block the sun, only to then settle down and watch a Stonefish doing its best impression of a rock. Keep an eye out for the Granular Frog Shell, often tucked away in crevices. Visibility is usually excellent, giving you the chance to really take in the intricate details. We’d suggest a slow drift along the wall, letting the current do the work. It’s a site that rewards patience, perfect for photographers or anyone who just wants to soak it all in without feeling rushed. It suits divers who appreciate healthy coral and the smaller, more unusual reef inhabitants.
