Kleiner Hafen Küsnacht - Istria Peninsula

Recife das Pinaúnas is a real treat, tucked away just off Salvador. What we love about it is the sheer density of fish, especially the smaller, more colourful reef dwellers. We’re talking about Noronha wrasse and Black-ear wrasse flitting between coral heads, alongside sassy Sergeant-majors guarding their patch. It’s a busy, bustling kind of dive, perfect for those who enjoy taking their time and really observing the smaller details. The reef here isn't the grand, towering kind, but it's alive, full of nooks and crannies where you’ll spot things like the Dark-spotted Snake Eel peering out or a curious Trunkfish making its slow rounds. Our favourite moments here involve finding a quiet spot and just watching the reef breathe, picking out the Darter Gobies or the lightning-fast Atlantic Bumpers. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, the light plays beautifully through the water, illuminating the sea lettuce. We’d suggest going in the morning if you can, before any afternoon chop picks up, as it often feels calmer then. It’s not a challenging dive, making it great for newer divers or anyone wanting a relaxed, vibrant experience without fighting a strong current.
