Landungssteg - Istria Peninsula
Punta Ventana. Even the name sounds like an adventure, and honestly, it delivers. We've dropped in here countless times, and it rarely disappoints. What makes it special? It’s a dynamic spot. You’ll find yourself navigating a series of submerged pinnacles and rock formations, usually with a decent current. That current is what brings in the action – big schools of jacks, sometimes even golden trevally, cruising past. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too, tucked into the crevices; we’ve spotted bloody frogfish here on more than one occasion, just blending in perfectly. The topography alone is worth the dive, with swim-throughs and overhangs creating dramatic backdrops. This site is for divers who appreciate a bit of movement and aren't afraid of a current. We'd suggest aiming for a slack tide if you want a more relaxed exploration, but honestly, the drift with the big fish is half the fun. It’s got a raw, untamed feel to it, which we absolutely love.
