Male Srakane, Cave, Kroatien - Istria Peninsula

The cave at Male Srakane isn't a deep penetration, more of an extensive overhang that you can swim into and explore. We've found the entrance around 15 metres, often marked by a school of glasseye fish hovering in the shadows. Inside, the light plays nicely, filtering down through the cracks above, illuminating the resident crabs and the occasional moray eel tucked into a crevice. It’s a pretty easy dive, especially good if you're new to overhead environments, with plenty of room to manoeuvre and a clear exit always in sight.
