Margarina (Sanddüne) - Istria Peninsula

Margarina, or “Sand Dune” as some call it, is a fantastic spot if you’re into the smaller, more unusual finds that the Istrian coast has to offer. This isn't your typical reef dive; it’s a muck diving delight, where the real show is often in the sand itself. We’ve spent hours here, poking around for Bushy Coral and Scarlet Coral, and we almost always spot several Common brittlestars making their way across the seafloor. It’s perfect for macro photographers or anyone who enjoys a slower, more deliberate dive, searching out Horn Shells and bristleworms hiding in plain sight.
