Miracine - Istria Peninsula

Miracine, off the Istrian coast, isn't a showstopper but it's a perfectly pleasant dive when you're in the area. We found it a decent spot for a relaxed afternoon dip, particularly if you're keen on the smaller, more delicate reef inhabitants. Look closely among the rocks and you'll spot some lovely Bushy Coral and Scarlet Coral, along with the distinct orange hues of Sunset cup coral. There are plenty of poor cod darting about, and we always get a kick out of watching the Damsel fish flitting in and out of their territories. It's a nice easy dive, probably best for those who prefer to take their time and appreciate the subtle beauty of the Mediterranean reef rather than chasing big pelagics.
