Nemo Divers - Istria Peninsula

Nemo Divers is one of those places we keep coming back to in Istria, not for huge pelagics, but for its sheer variety of small, intriguing creatures. Drop down and you’re immediately enveloped by schools of glassy cardinalfish, their reflective scales glinting in the shafts of light. It feels less like a typical reef dive and more like an underwater treasure hunt. We love finding the resident nursehounds tucked into crevices, their mottled skin blending perfectly with the rock. Keep an eye out for the elusive Red Band-fish, a real treat if you spot one peeking from the sand. This site really shines for macro enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys slowing down and exploring every crack and cranny. It’s perfect for divers who appreciate the subtle beauty of the Mediterranean, where a keen eye often reveals a marbled electric ray or a shy Black-bellied angler. Our favourite time to dive here is mid-morning, just as the sun gets high enough to illuminate the smaller caves.
