With 46+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, sea turtles and cuttlefish - PONZA offers some of Istria Peninsula's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 12-26°C, warmest July, August, September.
Diving Ponza means exploring the skeleton of an old tug, settled upright on the seafloor. The wreck itself isn't massive, but its structure offers plenty of nooks and crannies to peer into. We've seen conger eels tucked into the engine room, and the deck often has scorpionfish blending into the rust. It’s a good spot for divers who enjoy poking around a relatively intact wreck, especially since the deck is quite shallow, making for decent bottom time. The general calm conditions here make it a pleasant, unhurried dive, great for photographers.

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.
