Remorker - Istria Peninsula

The Remorker wreck in Istria isn't just another sunken vessel, it's a moody, atmospheric dive that really sticks with you. Dropping down to 33 metres, you're immediately struck by how intact the tugboat is, sitting upright on the seabed. We love seeing the wheelhouse still largely complete, the helm frozen in time, and the bow pointing determinedly towards the surface. It’s got a real storybook feel to it. Swim through the holds, which are now home to some impressive resident conger eels, and keep an eye out for inquisitive scorpionfish camouflaged on the deck plates. The visibility here can be superb, especially on a calm morning, letting the natural light filter through the superstructure and cast eerie shadows. We'd suggest arriving early; it can get a bit busy with dive boats, but having the Remorker to yourself, even for a few minutes, is pure magic. It’s a cracker for intermediate divers keen on exploring a proper piece of history, and the way the marine life has claimed it as its own makes every inch interesting.
