Restaurant Schloss - Istria Peninsula

Punta Roble really shines when the currents are running, and that's exactly what we look for here. It’s one of those spots where you drop in and just let the water do the work, gliding along a sloping reef that seems to stretch forever. We’ve had some cracking dives here, particularly when the schools of Jacks and Herring are thick, swirling around you like a silver tornado. It’s not uncommon to spot Bull Sharks cruising the deeper water, a genuine thrill, and we always keep an eye out for them in the blue. The shallower sections are just as interesting, with plenty of nooks and crannies to peer into. We've often seen Rainbow Scorpionfish blending perfectly with the rocks, and those tiny Hancock's Blennies are always a joy to find, bobbing their heads. The visibility can vary, as it often does in Coiba, but when it’s clear, the light plays beautifully through the schools of Silvergray Grunts, creating this shimmering effect. It’s a great drift dive for those who enjoy covering some ground and seeing what the open water brings, but the protected areas also offer calmer exploration for macro fans. We’d suggest going early in the morning for the best chance at the bigger stuff.
