Riff Pal is one of those Istrian spots that feels reliably good without shouting about it. We’ve found it’s a nice drift dive when the current picks up, letting you cruise over the rocky reef. Bushy coral patches offer shelter for the resident cowfish, and if you slow down and peek into the crevices, you might spot the Mediterranean tooth-footed snapping shrimp – they’re quick. For macro enthusiasts, the Leidy's comb jellies are often out in numbers, sparkling as they drift past. It’s a solid pick for divers looking for a relaxed, critter-focused dive, not big pelagics or dramatic walls.
