With 46+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, sea turtles and cuttlefish - Rossarol 1, Wreck offers some of Istria Peninsula's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 12-26°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Rossarol 1 sits upright on the seabed at 45m, a solid, accessible wreck for intermediate divers. We found her covered in sponges and gorgonians, with schools of small fish darting through the superstructure. There’s a good sense of her original form, making for some interesting swim-throughs if you’re comfortable with overhead environments and have the right training. Keep an eye out for resident scorpionfish camouflaged on the deck plates. It’s a rewarding dive, offering a good balance of history and marine growth without feeling too deep or challenging.
