Sea mine - Istria Peninsula

The Sea mine site off Istria is a curious one, definitely worth a dip if you're in the area and fancy a bit of history. We’re talking about a genuine sea mine, sitting upright on the seabed, its spikes still visible through the Mediterranean haze. It’s not a huge structure, but it’s remarkably well-preserved, a stark reminder of wartime history. You’ll find schools of small damselfish flitting around it, and sometimes a grouper or two will peek out from underneath. It's a great little dive for newer wreck divers, offering a straightforward exploration without strong currents, and it’s shallow enough for decent bottom time.
