MANIA - Vis & Biševo

The wreck of the Mania, a steamship built in 1946, lies just off Vis, a story of fire and a final beaching in 1971 before she eventually slipped beneath the waves. You’ll find her resting on her side, a substantial vessel at 112 meters long, with much of her hull and superstructure still intact. It’s a proper exploration, tracing the decks and superstructure now home to conger eels and schools of damselfish darting through the openings. The depth is shallow, making for long bottom times and plenty of light to appreciate the sheer scale of the wreck. We think it's a solid dive for anyone keen on wreck penetration, or just appreciating a piece of maritime history.
