With 138+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, octopuses, sea turtles and cuttlefish - Velika Špilja offers some of Vis & Biševo's richest cave diving.
Velika Špilja, or the 'Big Cave,' offers a deep blue grotto experience on Biševo. The entrance at 30 meters opens into a large cavern, with light filtering down, creating an atmospheric dive. We found it a straightforward cave dive, good for intermediate divers comfortable with overhead environments. Keep an eye out for slipper lobsters tucked into crevices.
