Wreck Teti - Vis & Biševo
The Teti wreck is one of our favourite dives around Vis. It’s a coastal freighter, sitting upright at around 30 to 35 metres, completely intact. Dropping down, you can make out the entire silhouette, a beautiful sight against the blue. What we love about the Teti is how approachable it is for various experience levels. Advanced Open Water divers can poke around the superstructure, peer into the holds, and see the engine room through the skylights, while more experienced wreck divers can venture inside with proper training and gear. The wreck itself is covered in life. Clouds of small fish – chromis, damselfish – shimmer around the mast. We’ve seen conger eels poking their heads from pipes and morays tucked into crevices. The soft corals are starting to really flourish, creating this fuzzy, colourful layer over the metal. If you time it right, a mid-morning dive often gives you the best light, with sunbeams slicing through the water, illuminating the bridge. Just be aware that strong bura winds can make the boat ride out a bit choppy.
