Hatay Dive Center - Larnaca
The team at Hatay Dive Center, based in Larnaca, are exactly who we’d send you to if you’re looking to get certified, or simply enjoy easy boat dives around the Zenobia. They’re a straightforward PADI shop, no frills, but consistently deliver good service and a friendly atmosphere. We’ve found them particularly good with newer divers, patient and clear, ensuring everyone feels comfortable before they hit the water. Their main draw, and our favourite local site, is undoubtedly the Zenobia wreck. You’ll be heading out on their boat, a quick ride from the marina, and descending into that familiar green-blue visibility that often hits 20 metres or more. We love dropping onto the stern, watching the resident groupers eye you from shadowy corridors, and if you’re lucky, catching the barracuda school swirling over the upper deck. Conditions are generally calm, making it a relaxed two-dive morning. We’d suggest booking ahead, especially during the summer months, as they do fill up quickly. They also run trips to some of the smaller reefs and other wrecks nearby, but for the full Larnaca experience, the Zenobia is where it’s at.
