GHIWA - Larnaca
The GHIWA, a motor vessel that went down in a gale in 1991, sits upright on the seabed at 50 metres, making it a dive best suited for advanced wreck enthusiasts. It's a proper deep dive, so bring your planning A-game. The ship itself is around 50 metres long, quite a decent size, and you can explore the superstructure and cargo holds, which are now home to plenty of groupers and moray eels. Visibility here is usually pretty good, and the wreck's depth means a quieter dive. We’ve seen amberjacks cruise by on occasion, too.
