KADIOGLU I (PROBABLY) - Larnaca

The Kadioglu I wreck sits shallow, a quick dash from Larnaca, perfect for an easy afternoon dive. We love this site for its accessibility and the way the Mediterranean sun penetrates to the seabed. She’s a motor vessel, capsized in the port basin back in ‘93, so you find her upside down. The hull is a big, dark mass but we always spend our time exploring the edges, where light still gets in. You’ll find plenty of damselfish darting in and out of the structural elements. Look for the small groupers tucked into crevices. Entry is straightforward from a dive boat, and the 9-metre depth means plenty of bottom time. Our favourite part? The way the light plays on the inverted hull, throwing these amazing shadows. It’s a good one for newer divers or those who just want a relaxed potter around a wreck.
