GREAT HARMONY - Paphos & Coral Bay

The *Great Harmony* isn’t a deep dive, sitting at a maximum of 7m, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it's not worth your air. This motor vessel broke loose from its anchorage near Limassol in 1977, battered by gales, eventually becoming a total loss on the breakwater. What’s left is surprisingly intact for such a shallow wreck, a really interesting playground for keen-eyed divers. We love poking around the bow and stern sections, which are still quite defined. Visibility here is often excellent, especially in the mornings before the boat traffic picks up. You can easily spend a full hour just exploring the broken hull, watching damselfish dart in and out of the crevices. Look for octopus tucked away in shadowed corners; they’re often there. Our favourite part is the way the light filters through the superstructure, creating these beautiful, shifting patterns on the sand below. It’s an easy, relaxed dive, perfect for photographers or anyone who just wants to take their time and really soak in the atmosphere of a wreck that’s been claimed by the sea.
