The AINAN, a schooner that ran aground in 1946, sits in just 7 metres of water off Bornholm. It’s a shallow dive, easy enough for newer divers to enjoy a proper wreck experience without deep specialities. You’ll find the hull largely intact, settled on its side, creating plenty of nooks and crannies for curious divers to poke around. We’ve spotted cod lurking in the shadows and small crabs scuttling across the timbers. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, the light plays beautifully through the wreck, highlighting the aged wood and the life taking hold. It’s a solid wreck dive for a relaxed afternoon.
