ECTA - Bornholm
The ECTA wreck off Bornholm offers a solid cold-water dive, especially if you appreciate a bit of history. We’re talking about a steamship, and while she’s classified as a dangerous wreck, careful navigation around the main structure makes for an interesting explore. At a maximum depth of 10 metres, it’s a site that gives you plenty of bottom time to really soak it in. You’ll find some resilient wrasse and plenty of small crustaceans making homes in the twisted metal. It’s not a vibrant coral garden, obviously, but for a wreck dive in the Baltic, it's a good honest encounter. We’d suggest this one for divers who enjoy poking around historical sites and don't mind a slightly silty environment.
