Flinthorne Rev - Bornholm

Wentworth Reef holds a special place for us. It’s one of those spots where you just know the reef is happy, thriving. We’ve had dives here where the visibility stretched so far we felt like we were floating in an enormous blue cathedral, the sunlight filtering down through schools of fusiliers so thick they actually dappled the light on the coral below. Our favourite time to drop in is early morning. That’s when you’re most likely to catch loggerhead turtles cruising by, sometimes a whole parade of them, and we’ve often spotted Pharaoh cuttlefish flashing their incredible colour changes. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too; Wentworth has a surprising number of common seahorses tucked into the staghorn coral. You’ll also spot orangefin ponyfish darting in and out, and some truly impressive stony corals that give the reef a real sense of age and permanence. It’s a site that rewards slow, observant diving, perfect for those who like to take their time and truly absorb the environment.
