With 66+ marine species recorded in the area - including jellyfish lake - Flinthorne Rev offers some of Bornholm's richest reef diving. Water ranges 3-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Flinthorne Rev off Bornholm is a good example of what makes Baltic diving interesting. It’s a shallow site, generally around 10 meters, where the light plays nicely over the rocky reef. We've often spotted big beds of blue mussels here, along with common cockles tucked into the sand patches. It’s not about huge pelagics, of course, but for a relaxed dive in surprisingly clear water, it's a solid choice. It suits divers who appreciate the subtler beauty of a northern temperate reef and don't mind a bit of a cooler plunge.
