Halsskov Rev - Bornholm

Undine Reef is one of those spots in the northern GBR that just *feels* right. It’s not about huge pelagics here, though you might catch a shark or a cruising manta if you’re lucky. For us, Undine is all about the coral architecture and the smaller, more intimate reef life. We love drifting along the reef edge, where the humps of *Turbinaria* coral rise like miniature cities, studded with vibrant patches of lettuce coral and smooth cauliflower coral. Keep an eye out for the residents: the big, bold rainbow parrotfish chomping away, leaving trails of sand in their wake, and the elegant Desjardin’s Sailfin Tangs weaving through the branching staghorn. We often find foxface rabbitfish tucked amongst the plate corals, and if you’re patient, you might spot a cloth-of-gold cone snail on the sandy patches. The light here can be incredible on a sunny day, painting everything in a kaleidoscope of blues and greens. It's a fantastic site for photographers focusing on macro and wide-angle reef shots. Come here for a relaxed, visually rich dive. It’s perfect for divers who appreciate the intricate beauty of a healthy coral reef and the smaller, captivating creatures that call it home.
