IBAEK - Bornholm
Ibaek isn't your deep-water technical wreck, and we wouldn't pretend it is. This is a shallow, almost beach entry dive on a schooner that ran aground back in 1945. Think of it as an archaeological peek into a maritime past, right at your fingertips. At barely a meter deep, it’s a snorkel or really shallow free-dive. You’ll see the timbers of the old vessel, spread across the sandy bottom, the wood softened by decades of salt water. It’s been completely claimed by small crabs and blennies, darting between the planks. It’s a gentle spot, perfect for a relaxed afternoon with a mask and fins, especially if you’ve got younger divers in tow, or just want a change of pace from deeper dives.
