Jezioro Insko - Westspitze
Why dive here
With 66+ marine species recorded in the area - including jellyfish lake - Jezioro Insko - Westspitze offers some of Bornholm's richest diving. Water ranges 3-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Jezioro Insko's Westspitze offers a freshwater dive, a nice change from the Baltic Sea. We found it a calm spot, suitable for less experienced divers looking to practice skills or just enjoy the quiet. Expect a silty bottom and various freshwater species, though visibility can be limited depending on recent weather. It's a relaxed alternative to some of the more demanding coastal dives.
Safety Notes
Cold water this month (avg 14°C). Drysuit or thick wetsuit (7mm+) recommended.
