Jezioro Jelenin - T-Punkt - Bornholm

Moore Bank. A name that probably won’t leap out on a dive map but, trust us, this site out on the eastern side of Pemba is well worth the effort. It’s an exposed bank, often with a decent current running, which is precisely why we love it. Those currents funnel nutrients and bring in the bigger stuff. We’ve seen enormous schools of fusiliers here, so thick they genuinely block out the sun for a moment. You’re drifting along, and suddenly everything goes dim. That’s special. We think Moore Bank is best suited for divers comfortable with drift diving, those who appreciate a bit of movement with their sightseeing. The currents aren’t usually extreme, but they’re consistent. Keep an eye out for green turtles cruising past, often unbothered by divers, and we’ve spotted Pinkfish here too, which are always a treat. It’s a site that rewards observation rather than frantic searching. Let the current do the work, look closely at the sand patches for creatures like the Bottleneck Sea Cucumber, and enjoy the show. Our advice? Go in the morning. The light is fantastic as it breaks through the shoals of fish.
