Bornholm isn't all about dramatic cliffs and smokehouses. Dive Jorna Vang & Manx, and you’re stepping into a piece of wartime history, right in the shallows. These aren't your typical deep, dark wrecks; at just five metres, they’re accessible to pretty much anyone. The Jorna Vang, a fishing cutter, met her end here in 1944, a casualty of a mine. She lies quite broken, but that just means more nooks and crannies for exploration. We love how the light plays on her scattered timbers, creating these shifting patterns on the sandy bottom. You can follow the debris field, imagining her final moments, and spot little scorpionfish tucked away in the shadows. The Manx, another small vessel, adds to the scene, though she’s even more fragmented. What makes this spot special is the sense of history that lingers, despite the shallow depth. It’s not about huge pelagics, but about the small details: crabs scuttling over corroded plates, anemones clinging to rusted metal, and schools of juvenile fish darting through the wreckage.
