Krugsdorfer Kiessee
Why dive here
With 66+ marine species recorded in the area - including jellyfish lake - Krugsdorfer Kiessee offers some of Bornholm's richest diving. Water ranges 3-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
Krugsdorfer Kiessee on Bornholm is a freshwater quarry dive, offering a distinct change from the Baltic Sea. Visibility can vary, but we often find decent conditions for exploring the submerged trees and old quarry machinery. It's a quiet spot, good for honing skills or a relaxed afternoon dive, often with just a few small fish darting through the reeds. If you're looking for something different from your usual wreck or reef dive, this provides a calm alternative.
Safety Notes
Cold water this month (avg 14°C). Drysuit or thick wetsuit (7mm+) recommended.
