Krumme Lanke - Bornholm

Anchor Point is one of those sites we always recommend to divers heading to Kalpitiya. It’s a good one, especially if you’re into the smaller, more intricate stuff. Drop in, and you’re often met with a gentle current, perfect for just drifting along and letting the reef reveal itself. We’ve had some truly lovely dives here, spotting bluefin filefish tucked away and the flash of a Checkered Seaperch darting into a crevice. Our favourite moments at Anchor Point usually involve the wrasse – we’ve seen Maori Wrasse cruising past, and the Dusky Wrasse seem to be everywhere, busy poking around the staghorn coral formations. You’ll also spot plenty of Five-lined snapper and the occasional school of Jacks patrolling the deeper edges. It’s a site that rewards patience; take your time, really look closely, and you’ll find those smaller creatures that make a dive memorable. We’d suggest going in the morning; the light is usually better, and the visibility tends to be at its clearest before the afternoon winds pick up. For divers who appreciate a relaxed pace and a keen eye for reef life, Anchor Point is a solid choice.
