Dropping down to the M 27, you’re looking at a German minesweeper that didn’t even make it through its trials. Sunk in 1916 after a run-in with the SS Paranagua, she sits upright at 46 metres, remarkably intact for her age. We’ve found her an interesting dive, the whole hull still very much together, offering a proper sense of her original form. Look for the deck guns, still mounted, and the occasional cod lurking in the shadows. It’s a dive for those who appreciate history and deeper exploration, definitely one for experienced cold-water divers comfortable with technical profiles.
