MEGGY - Bornholm

Bornholm's Meggy wreck is a nice little shallow dive, perfect for stretching out a long bottom time. We're talking a former merchant vessel, sunk back in '51, sitting upright in just two metres of water. The superstructure is still there, largely intact, meaning you can poke around the deckhouse and cargo hold, which is a neat experience even at this depth. Think of it as a living art installation, as the metalwork is now completely covered in green algae, giving the whole wreck a wonderfully eerie, almost otherworldly feel. It’s an easy, relaxing dive, ideal for photographers or newer divers getting their first taste of a proper wreck.
