The Minde, a motor vessel that capsized and sank in 1987 when its cargo shifted, now rests at 42 metres off Bornholm. This isn't a wreck you’ll penetrate easily; she lies upside down, her hull a broad, flat surface that feels more like a seabed feature than a ship. We typically explore the exposed parts of her keel and propeller, where you’ll find the usual Baltic suspects – cod and blennies lurking in the shadows, along with a surprising amount of soft coral growth for these colder waters. It’s a dive for those comfortable with deeper profiles and a certain level of melancholy, more about the atmosphere of a lost ship than a vibrant reef.
