Why dive here
With 66+ marine species recorded in the area - including jellyfish lake - NIELS offers some of Bornholm's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Niels, a schooner, rests upright at 20 metres in the cold Baltic. Its wooden hull is largely intact, offering interesting swim-throughs into the cargo holds. We often find cod and blennies sheltering in the wreckage. It’s a good wreck for divers comfortable in colder water, with a keen eye for details.
