RIGSGEFT (RIXHOFT) - Bornholm
Rixhoft, off Bornholm, is one of those wrecks that just begs for a slow exploration. This German minesweeper went down in 1941, settling upright in about 14 metres of water. It's not a massive wreck, but the superstructure is still largely intact, allowing for some decent penetration if you’re properly trained and equipped for overhead environments. The relatively shallow depth means plenty of light filters down, illuminating the resident cod, blennies, and the occasional lumpfish tucked into crevices. We’d suggest saving this one for a calm day to really get the most out of picking through its history.
