RIO - Bornholm
The RIO, a ten-meter fishing vessel, rests upright at 27 meters off Bornholm, a real treat for wreck enthusiasts in the Baltic. What makes her special isn't just the intact structure, but how completely she's become part of the seabed. We've seen her decks absolutely coated in mussels, creating a bumpy, textured blanket over the wood and metal. Look for the small, inquisitive blennies peeking from crevices and the occasional lumpfish hunkering down amongst the growth. It’s a comfortable dive, not too deep, and perfect for those who enjoy exploring an almost fully preserved wreck overtaken by its new environment.
