RUNO - Bornholm
The Runo, a steamship lost to a mine in 1946, sits in a manageable 11 meters of water off Bornholm. This is a site for those who appreciate the history beneath the waves, not necessarily for a riot of colour. We've found the wreck relatively intact, offering some good penetration points if you’re properly trained and equipped for overhead environments. Crabs often scuttle across the decks, and we’ve seen cod lurking in the deeper holds, a common sight on these Baltic wrecks. It’s a compelling piece of history, easily accessible, making it a good pick for divers keen on exploring a Cold War casualty.
