Russian Submarine - Bornholm
The Russian Submarine off Bornholm is a genuinely interesting Cold War relic, not just another pile of rust. We’ve found her sitting upright on the seabed at around 25 metres, giving it a real presence as you descend. It’s an advanced dive, mainly due to the depth and often cool conditions, but the reward is a chance to explore a piece of history that offers some straightforward penetration for those with the right training and gear. Inside, you’ll see the skeletal remains of its past, now heavily encrusted with blue mussels, creating a unique living surface.
