Why dive here
With 66+ marine species recorded in the area - including jellyfish lake - Saugbagger Sandtrans offers some of Bornholm's richest diving. Water ranges 3-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Saugbagger Sandtrans, a dredge wreck off Bornholm, offers a peek into the island's industrial past. We tend to see plenty of local fish sheltering in its structure, like small pollock and the occasional snake blenny peeking out from a crevice. It's a fairly easy dive, often with decent visibility, making it a good choice if you're looking for a relaxed exploration rather than a deep, demanding wreck. Surface conditions can get choppy, so we'd suggest picking a calmer day for a more comfortable experience.
Safety Notes
Cold water this month (avg 14°C). Drysuit or thick wetsuit (7mm+) recommended.
