SEEADLER H - Bornholm

The *Seeadler H* is our pick for a wreck dive off Bornholm. Lying at 42 metres, she’s a deep one, so save this for when you’re comfortable with your deco procedures. This old carrier went down in ‘96 after a run-in with the *MV Scotfield*, and considering her relatively recent sinking, she’s in remarkably good shape. We love dropping down onto her main deck, often surrounded by a hazy cloud of small schooling fish. What really sells the *Seeadler H* is the penetration. Her holds are open, inviting you in, and the sheer scale of the cargo bays is impressive, even if they’re empty now. We’ve spent entire dives just exploring her interior, feeling the cool surge of water push through the hull. Outside, the superstructure offers plenty to poke around, and we’ve found decent-sized cod lurking in the shadows, plus conger eels peering from pipes. Visibility here can be hit or miss, typical for the Baltic, but when it clears, the wreck stands out sharply against the sandy bottom. Best dived on a calm day; the surface chop can make the descent a bit of a wobble. This is a solid dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts looking for something beyond just a silhouette on the seafloor.
