With 66+ marine species recorded in the area - including jellyfish lake - TARNAN offers some of Bornholm's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-18°C, warmest July, August, September.
TARNAN, off Bornholm, is one of those wrecks that’s more about the history and less about a deep dive. She’s a fishing vessel, 29 metres long, that ran aground near Lerhamn back in ‘73. The ship sits at a mere 1-metre depth, which means it’s perfect for snorkelers or very shallow freediving, rather than tanks. We’ve found plenty of small crabs picking through the exposed hull plating, and even a few juvenile flatfish tucked into the sand nearby. It’s an interesting spot to explore if you’re in the area and fancy a look at a wreck without the need for a full kit up.
