With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including seals & sea lions, sea turtles and jellyfish lake - CERES offers some of North Sea Coast's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
The CERES wreck, resting at a shallow 10 metres off the North Sea Coast, offers a compelling glimpse into WWI history. Sunk by a mine in 1915, it’s not a massive structure, but the shallow depth means long bottom times to explore what’s left of the hull. You'll find the wreck well-colonised by local marine life; think plump crabs scuttling over corroded metal and various small fish darting in and out of the skeletal remains. It’s a site that appeals to those with an interest in maritime history and a fondness for shallower wreck dives, where the story of the vessel is as much a draw as the current residents.
